“Boris Johnson has said any peace talks over Ukraine are likely to fail as he compared holding talks with Vladimir Putin to negotiating with a crocodile.”
BBC reports that Boris Johnson made crocophobic remarks today, with LGBTQIAC activists decrying this blatant display of Tory prejudice as “triggering”. A Tory spokesman dismissed the criticism as “a complete croc”.

Only unrealistic part of this is a Tory spokesman dismissing the criticism rather than issuing a cringing apology.
Or is that negotiating with krokodil?
Probably the only thing that would wake biden up, otherwise it’s down to the bunny!
In Canada, the CBC’s Ian Hanomansing sought to bring balance to the story by interviewing a small black caiman, who sobbingly decried the stereotype of chronically insincere crying crocodiles.
The Ceeb quoted the croc’s talk: “The emotional labour is exhausting, Ian. Silence is violence done to croc bodies. Real allyship would mean lowering your head just a little bit closer to the waterline here, that’s a good journo.”
Prime Minister Trudeau had no intelligible comment, but was seen to wear enormous green foam shoes to Question Period, with a solemn apologetic look on his slapped arse of a face.
Yeah I’m sure Putin trusts the West to negotiate in good faith after his experience of the studious compliance of Ukraine et al with the Minsk Agreements.
QOTD material. Thanks.
Oh yeah, whereas Russia has always honoured it’s agreements. Still the bullshit that this was about legitimate Russian security needs?
The treacherous are ever distrustful – so, yes, Flubber (April 21, 2022 at 2:13 pm), I’m sure Putin would not find it easy to trust others to negotiate in good faith.
FWIW, I wrote a recent post that has some indirect relevance: Trump Derangement Syndrome is writing a job description for Trump and not knowing it. (When the ‘others’ include Biden, minds less suspicious than Putin’s would be distrustful.)
Well, they certainly will now.
Here’s a novel suggestion for Prime Minister Johnson:
Stop meddling in things that don’t concern you and you and your stupid fellow MPs don’t understand.
Your job Mr Johnson et al is to represent the interests of your paymasters; no not the wicked globalists; we the indigenous peoples of this country.
You sure the indigenous peoples pay more than the globalists?
Perhaps Mr Johnson is taking lessons from another classic comedian. i.e. Mr Punch.
The latter has, despite many cries from the politically correct, continued to engage in percussive persuasion with crafty crocodiles intent on stealing sausages (and other seaside assets).
That’s the way to do it!
Anyone who thinks seeing Russia defeated in Ukraine is not on the interests of the British people is a fool.
Taken along with yesterdays pertinent and timely observation that the CoE appears more concerned with condemning the policy of shipping cross-channel surfers to Rwanda than with criticising Putin for invading Ukraine this suggests Boris finally has a half-decent scriptwriter.
Anyone who thinks that isn’t a fool, that’s far too forgiving a label, they’re an enemy of the British people. If Russia isn’t stopped in Ukraine then where?
“Enemy of the people”
Seems they’re already here
