A friend of mine in San Francisco passed along this video of a marvelous arrangement performed by a classical Japanese orchestra.
It is well worth four and a half minutes of your time.

Wow. Thanks Dale, that truly was…something else.
I must disagree, Dale… that is cosmopolitanism (good), not multiculturalism (bad).
Time well spent. Thank you.
Thinking about it, I gotta agree with Perry on that one.
Although, I think it is more properly called fusion.
Truly _Made in Japan_ !!
Yeah thanks Dale, very bizzarre!
I’m afraid I’m with Johnson on this one, when he talked of teaching dogs to dance. Something along the lines of “Not that it was done well, but that it was done at all”
Ian Gillan was the first musician I ever interviewed, by the way.
Oh and why do the singers sound like Apache indians psyching themselves up for the Little Big Horn?
Yeah, it sure makes suicide bombings, ethnic ghettos, race riots, sharia law, and white flight all worth putting up with.
RAB. Wasn’t Little Big Horn fought by Sioux Indians?
It was fought by a coalition of the tribes I believe.
But you bugger ! I was temporarily dyslexic there, and couldn’t spell Sioux, so I put Apache instead!
If they were not there, then they can feel duely admonished. Along the lines of Henry Vs speech on the eve of Agincourt!
How about Blue Oyster Cult’s “Godzilla” for an encore?
RAB. I’m pretty sure there were no Apache at Agincourt either!!…..Sorry about that, couldn’t resist. :o)
I am a practitioner of the ancient art of Bung Dittin.
If you can, always do, is our motto. 🙂
That is not multiculturalism though is it?
My friend (who grew up in Japan) got a big kick out of it.
There might be a Fall market for designer clothespins, the absolutely required accessory for your election day wardrobe…
BTW, here are our party’s candidates for nomination:

Hmm, an ethnically uniform traditional Japanese orchestra performing in Japan to an ethnically uniform Japanese audience demonstrating that it is possible to assimilate aspects foreign cultures without balkanizing the country with millions of low-quality immigrants.
Great example of multiculturalism!
