It is just a flesh wound The Monty Python purists may be offended – I tend to find such people awkward company – but if you want to have a fun night out and laugh yourself hoarse, then the crazy musical/panto/ “Spamalot” is a must-see event. It has been running in London’s West End for a few weeks now and has already been a smash in Broadway.

Who Are We? The Samizdata people are a bunch of sinister and heavily armed globalist illuminati who seek to infect the entire world with the values of personal liberty and several property. Amongst our many crimes is a sense of humour and the intermittent use of British spelling.
We are also a varied group made up of social individualists, classical liberals, whigs, libertarians, extropians, futurists, ‘Porcupines’, Karl Popper fetishists, recovering neo-conservatives, crazed Ayn Rand worshipers, over-caffeinated Virginia Postrel devotees, witty Frédéric Bastiat wannabes, cypherpunks, minarchists, kritarchists and wild-eyed anarcho-capitalists from Britain, North America, Australia and Europe.

Definitely worth a look. This Python nut was lucky enough to see it in October when Tim Curry was hamming it up magnificently as King Arthur, and enjoyed it immensely. Hopefully, with time, the audience participation will build (at least I assume that’s why they were selling coconuts….).
The anorak in me has asked me to point out that according to “Monty Python & the Holy Grail (Book)” it is NI not NEEEEE

I am planning to see that eventually just haven’t got round to it yet. Its good to see Eric Idle doing well again, he did have a bit of dry spot for a while.
I enjoyed it back in October with Tim Curry in the lead as well. Thought they did the live Python well, although as soon as it departed from the source material, it did struggle a touch. Well worth seeing.
