“My message to the Zionist Jews: We are going to take our land back, we love death for Allah’s sake the same way you love life. We shall burn you as Hitler did, but this time we won’t have a single one of you left.”
– regular BBC contributor Samer Elzaenen.
A report in the Telegraph says,
A BBC spokesman said: “International journalists including the BBC are not allowed access into Gaza so we hear from a range of eyewitness accounts from the strip. These are not BBC members of staff or part of the BBC’s reporting team. We were not aware of the individuals’ social media activity prior to hearing from them on air.
Er, why not? Given that the Telegraph article says that he made more than thirty posts on social media over the last decade that celebrated Palestinians killing Israeli civilians, including one post where he delightedly said that two murdered boys aged six and eight would “soon go to hell”, was it really beyond the power of the Arabic service of one of the biggest media organisations on Earth to do a simple internet search for his name? If the task of excluding self-identified Palestinian Nazis from giving regular commentary under the BBC name is too difficult for BBC Arabic, then BBC Arabic is a waste of public money. I hope that is the case, because the other possibility is that the BBC’s Arabic-speaking staff knew of Mr Elzaenen’s wish to exterminate the Jews but kept inviting him back because they want to do the same themselves. It’s not a universal opinion among Palestinians, but it’s not uncommon either.
Bigot! Doesn’t he know that Diversity Is Strength. I know it’s true, I saw Sadiq Khan telling me on the teevee earlier. Report him to the Yuman Rites Council! It’s clearly obvious you have to have diversity shoved down your throat for your own good and peace, how *DARE* they refuse.
He can say such things on the BBC, the official voice of the UK government.
If, in the UK, you said the same thing but substituted “Muslims” for Jews, I suspect you’d be visited by the police.
You are under an occupation.
I hope that is the case
Yet another example of the “lone wolf” BBC antisemite?
I think not. Too many coincidences eventually lead to the conclusion that the BBC’s Arabic service, along with a great many others in that vile organisation, represents the “not a murderer but happy to hold the other blokes coat while he does the killing” philosophy.
Here’s another recent example. A senior scheduling coordinator, nothing to with the Arabic service.

Even more damning is that this individual didn’t even hide his name.
People who work on large organisations and who write on controversial topics, or who are in the employ of a large and allegedly prestigious institution, either don’t comment under their real names or don’t comment. Many years ago I got into trouble about an email and realised that having any kind of political affiliation or etc was off the limits where I worked. Given what I do for a living that was in my contract. I had no grounds for complaint. I was warned. End of discussion.
In the case of this person, he’s so clearly on breach of any reasonable boundaries in representing this broadcaster.
He should be sacked. Immediately. And those who used his services need to explain why they allowed rhis to go on.
bobby,
You do that switch and you’d need to say a lot less to get in serious trouble. Starting at least with a raid by the cops calling it a Non-Crime Hate Incident.
I have taken to reading The Babylon Bee. I’m not a Christian of any stripe but it is often excellent. I loved this.
The Gentleman knows his faith, Islam, well – “we love death in the same way you love life – so we will win” was the statement Islamic leaders made at the siege of Alexandria and other Islamic victories over the Christians.
With the Jews in Arabia the Islamic cry was “raise your hand” – this did not mean surrender (male Jews would be killed if they surrendered or not – Mohammed left none alive in Arabia, for they had mocked his misquotations from Hebrew scripture) – it was a mocking reference to the Jewish practice of placing one’s hand over harsh pieces of scripture, which seem to demand the death penalty for various things, so that one did not say these things when reciting scripture aloud.
To the Islamic point of view, if scripture seems to demand the death penalty for XYZ then it does demand the death penalty for XYZ – and that is what should be done. Islam is straightforward in its logic – which is a virtue.
But to discuss Islam in a serious manner is very dangerous in the United Kingdom – one is just supposed to say that the food at “interfaith” Eid events is delicious. So I will stop here – as I have no wish to be sent to prison.
