Rachel Johnson is Boris Johnson’s sister, but has very different political views than the Prime Minister’s. She was a candidate for the short-lived centrist pro-EU Change UK party in the 2019 European Parliament election. At one time it was thought that this party, bringing together moderates from different sides of the political aisle to oppose Brexit, would sweep the nation.

I am sure that it would speed up the development of a vaccine, due to scientists craving a drink.
But why inflict this on those of us who cannot possibly contribute to the development of a vaccine??

I am beginning to suspect Rachel’s and Boris’ political views might not be that different, Rachel just doesn’t have to hide them.
Since people have contrarian impulses, why not ban people from staying at home, or working from home? Or ban the wearing of face-masks?
Come to that, why not design some humourous masks? “Honest, I’m NOT a bank-robber!” would be a great slogan on a mask. As would, “I’m trying to rob you! why does no-one believe me?”
Or masks that make us look like models or film-stars?
Boris was responsible for the ban on alcohol on the tube, so not so very different after all.

Boris probably knows. I’ve a vague notion that it was in Boris’ biography of Churchill (it may have been elsewhere) that I discovered Churchill’s prohibition-era doctors note, prescribing a quantity of alcohol, to be taken with meals, when in the US, to address some (not very clearly specified) medical condition.

It now seems clear that, as pointed out in March, EARLY use of hydroxchlorowquine, zinc sulphate and (for NON Covid 19 problems that the lungs may develop in their weakened state) azithromycin, is the way to go – but only at dosages recommended by medical doctors with experience in actually curing the sick.
Curing the sick NOT controlling society is what a doctor is supposed to do.
It is strange looking at publications such as “The Lancet” – they are mainly concerned with POLITICS (a “Public Health Agenda) rather than treating individuals with sicknesses.
A doctor in private practice (from the days of Hyppocrates) lives by their reputation – if they do not cure many patients they do not get many more patients.
I presume, if you are ‘well lubricated’ with alcohol, one’s inhibitions tend be be lower ( although the modern generation seem to have none at all ) which tends to promote close proximity and exchange of bodily fluids – the actual goal is often to infect another human being … with a human being 🙂
So traces of humanity must be identified and, stamped out altogether.
More money in a vaccine, even if it’s entirely unnecessary. What’s even better, if ‘herd immunity’ has been achieved, then you can chuck out any old shite, call it a vaccine, and claim the credit and more importantly the money, for saving mankind.

Yesterday, I made the mistake of watching the news on the BBC Telescreen. The bulletin was instructive, but not in the way the BBC intended. Vaughan Gething who holds the office of Welsh minister for Health and Social Services, was busy promoting the idea of a mandatory vaccination for COVID-19.
