David Cameron went to his first EU summit last year and agreed to let the European Union take charge of the financial regulation of the City. As far as poor decision-making goes, Gordon Brown’s gold sale was bad enough. History will remember Cameron’s surrender of the City as worse.

Companies and individuals need to stop just talking about getting out of the City of London – they need to do it.
Come on people – you say you are not corporate welfare, bailout, junkies and that you just want your freedom.
Well ACT IN LINE WITH YOUR WORDS.
David Cameron said- stop right there! Dave is a politician, so isn’t there an automatic discount on any words that make their way past his lips? Now if Dave was signing a law, that would be cause to worry! Here in Australia, we don’t keep track of such things about Mr Cameron, but what is his track record like? How often does he say something and then carry it out? Perhaps you have nothing to worry about!
Q. How can you tell when a politician is lying?
A. That is easy- his lips are moving!
How to have a free country.
First have good laws (laws in agreement with the principle of justice – i.e. to each their own) and enforce them.
But also make these laws very hard to change – no “interpreting” judges, but also the fundemental limits on government power must not be able to be ripped up by government statutes or regulations.
