We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.
Samizdata, derived from Samizdat /n. - a system of clandestine publication of banned literature in the USSR [Russ.,= self-publishing house]

Carry on, Doctor! Now I am usually harsh in my criticism of the National Health Service and indeed I wish to see it abolished entirely… but credit where credit is due. This was a very, er, uplifting example of ‘Enterprise Thinking’ by the NHS.
Carry on, Doctor!

Who Are We? The Samizdata people are a bunch of sinister and heavily armed globalist illuminati who seek to infect the entire world with the values of personal liberty and several property. Amongst our many crimes is a sense of humour and the intermittent use of British spelling.
We are also a varied group made up of social individualists, classical liberals, whigs, libertarians, extropians, futurists, ‘Porcupines’, Karl Popper fetishists, recovering neo-conservatives, crazed Ayn Rand worshipers, over-caffeinated Virginia Postrel devotees, witty Frédéric Bastiat wannabes, cypherpunks, minarchists, kritarchists and wild-eyed anarcho-capitalists from Britain, North America, Australia and Europe.

You took the words right out of my mouth!
Move over Nazi Kittens – sex has gone medical!
Who was insulted and who was injured?
My thoughts exactly, Alisa! I also liked this……
“it cannot be said to be contributing to the objectives of the primary care trust”
Uhm… it raised money didn’t it? If it isn’t contributing to the objectives of the Primary Care Trust why not? Did they piss the money up the wall?
Oooo Matron !
Or should that be Ward Coordination Executive Officer now?
Another good quote that I read in another place, was the lady Tory MP saying that she hadn’t seen the film herself of course, these things no longer being able to be claimed on expenses.
Nice dig there I thought.
Jay, it sounds as if their objectives are rather different from what a regular person might think.
RAB, did she really say that? If so, I love her!
It just dawned on me: this really puts some real socialization in socialized healthcare!
Oooh, don’t touch that, Matron!
(Apologies to the late Kenneth Williams, Hattie Jacques and Franke Howerd).
