German political discourse is so insane, I always feel slightly ashamed translating this stuff for you. It feels like dishing out embarrassing family secrets.

I very often feel reminded of the Carl Schmitt citation
Moderne westliche Öffentlichkeit: “das elende Schauspiel einer Rauferei zwischen Bußpredigern”
Modern western public: “the miserable spectacle of a brawl between penitential preachers”
Metz is just giving the FDP a leg up to help them over the 5% hurdle in the next election. The CDU is going to win anyway and the FDP is a useful potential coalition partner. So it makes sense to annoy a couple of percent of the more free market CDU voters into the FDP camp.
Don’t want to annoy them into the AFD camp, but I don’t think Millei and Musk are AFD heroes.
A few hours after Elon Musk endorsed the AfD an “ex” Muslim (now supposedly an atheist) in Germany attacked a Christmas market, killing people, declaring that he was a supporter of AfD (the international media gleefully reported that he was a supporter of Elon Musk).
To totally change the subject…. a certain American government (unelected government – no elected person ever approved it) program was called MK Ultra till 1973 – it seems unlikely that this program has really been totally closed down, I wonder what it is called these days.
Returning to the subject of the post…
As for vehicle attacks – the largest one I know of was in France (Nice) in 2016 which murdered 86 people.
Nothing much has been done in France in response – the only real action by Western authorities was to punish people who were critical of the Islamic attack in Nice. I got a year’s suspension from my political party – these days I would likely be sent to prison.
The former government of Poland (the Law and Justice Party) was strongly anti Mr Putin, sending much help to Ukraine – but was also opposed to the “international community” (unelected American government agencies, the E.U., and the rest of the international “liberal” left establishment) – it was removed by a massive propaganda campaign (agitprop taken to a level that would have made the former Soviet Union blush) and replaced by Mr Donald Tusk – former high official of the European Union – who will take over as head of the E.U. Council of Ministers in a few days.
Whether Poland will be opened to the blessings of “Diversity and Inclusion” so that it may be “enriched” by mass migration from Africa and the Middle East (in line with the plans of the international community) remains to be seen – but the former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland has been granted political asylum in Hungary.
It must be stressed that the international community (and its branch office – the Polish government and courts) has declared that this man was NOT being persecuted for his political and cultural opinions (for example his opposition to the LGBTQ+++ agenda) – but rather for financial crimes, ditto all the other people that the international community (via its branch offices – in Poland and other countries) is persecuting.
In Israel that certain institutions act against the nation, in line with the agenda of the international community, is well known – where the courts (unelected) behave in this way.
In the United Kingdom Suella Braverman, former Home Secretary (and a “women of colour”) , has said, in writing, that officials were indoctrinated with anti British propaganda (leftist agitprop) and acted in a way that was designed to undermine the nation.
Hardly a “conspiracy theory” when the documents of the indoctrination exist, and the former Home Secretary confirms it.
I don’t think Germany, the rest of Europe and Britain have much of a future, until they start listening to Elon Musk, Javier Millei and those like them.
