Feminists promote a cliquey, sisterhood mentality, but not through a collective and positive sharing of ideas. They’re the kind of group you’d encounter at school who would shun you if you weren’t wearing the right kind of hairband. Today’s feminism is opposed to criticism and nuance, refusing to allow women to form their own opinions or challenge preconceived ideas. And feminists call for the state to intervene when they want an opposing view silenced, and launch Twitter wars against dissenting views.

Today’s feminism is often sexist because it demands that women are given ever more protection and consideration.
It seems to want to reduce women to some sort of intermediate status between children and men when it comes to them being able to cope in the adult world.
‘Today’s feminism’? I don’t think it was ever any better, and in hindsight I don’t think there ever was any good use for it. It’s not that in the past women were not wrongfully denied certain rights and should not have fought to gain them, but that is not what feminism was ever about. The term itself is inherently collectivist, similar to thankfully non-existent(?) terms such as blackism or gayism. Thanks, but no, thanks.
The problem with men is that they’ll never be good enough for feminists. The problem with women is pretty much the same.
There really are no inherent problems with men or women (other than being human), the problem is stupid ideas in the heads of people of all sexes. Feminism was and is one such idea.

Is it just me or has the ubiquitous, endless discussion of feminism and rape on seemingly every freakin’ site in the world gone way beyond the point of boredom? I suppose we all need to continue paying attention because we can’t allow the lunatics to get their way, but I for one am heartily sick of it.

The lunatics put out a vast amount of propaganda and dishonest statistics. These get repeated. People who mean well repeat these things. They believe them. They become entrenched. The lunatics become entrenched. Or empowered, as they like to say.

The entirety of feminism can be summed up as wanting all the trappings of success/wealth/career, without really accepting the same responsibility for their choices.

In general these people are extremely focussed and put in anti-social hours of work in the earlier stages of their careers. There is almost no short cut (unless you are family) to leading a major business.
Now feminism demands 50% representation on boards because “magical vagina”, most of thses ladies may be just as smart possibly even just as competent, but where the “equality” breaks down is they want to demand a right to take large chunks of time off for family, but still get the same outcomes as the blokes who dont take that time off.
Thats not equality, thats a combination of biology and special pleading.
