Who Are We?The Samizdata people are a bunch of sinister and heavily armed globalist illuminati who seek to infect the entire world with the values of personal liberty and several property. Amongst our many crimes is a sense of humour and the intermittent use of British spelling. We are also a varied group made up of social individualists, classical liberals, whigs, libertarians, extropians, futurists, ‘Porcupines’, Karl Popper fetishists, recovering neo-conservatives, crazed Ayn Rand worshipers, over-caffeinated Virginia Postrel devotees, witty Frédéric Bastiat wannabes, cypherpunks, minarchists, kritarchists and wild-eyed anarcho-capitalists from Britain, North America, Australia and Europe. Awesome. Up until this bit:
If only it were true. Or if it is true, that they would act like it.
Not quite as funny as having Alistair Campbell teach politics as an “inspirational teacher” at Jamie Oliver’s Channel 4 “Dream” School.

I wonder who he has recruited for sex education classes – Gary Glitter?
The media often get things wrong, or take things out of context. Here, a TV crew tried to make something of a scatological comment said months ago on the battlefield of Afghanistan by tony Abbott. By cutting a segment short, they made it seem as though he was being disrespectful to a dead soldier.
This has not worked, and the reporters are now the ones embroiled in controversy.
If only they had been “bought” rather than merely donated to then at least there would be some recourse under trade descriptions.
