We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.

Samizdata, derived from Samizdat /n. - a system of clandestine publication of banned literature in the USSR [Russ.,= self-publishing house]

Apropos nothing… my favourite phrase in a song

Behold the depths of your innermost soul
A Minotaur walking in endless despair
Mythical like a dream
Invisible like a soft breath of wind

Bel Canto, Time without end.

I suppose I just cannot bring myself to give a damn about what is happening in the news today.

  • My favorite song phrases, both from the same song, “Life’s Been Good,” by Joe Walsh:

“I can’t complain, but sometimes I still do,” and, “They say I’m crazy but it takes all my time.”

I have been feeling like that for years! All the collectivist brooha leaves me cold. I am glad I have the internet and a few good blogs. Fuck the MSM!!

  • Unfortunately, much as we may loathe the MSM, it is still alot of people only source of news. As such we must find a way to make use of it if we are to open the sheeple’s eyes to the reality of the despotic aspirations of those in power.

  • Sure, but I’m taking the fuckin’ day off. The world will have to be saved without me to today.

And anyway, too much non-stop politics rots the brain.

I used to be a rolling stone
You know if the cause was right
I’d leave to find the answer on the road
I used to be a heart beating for someone
    But the times have changed
The less I say the more my work gets done

`Cause I live and breathe this Philadelphia freedom
From the day that I was born I’ve waved the flag
Philadelphia freedom took me knee-high to a man
Yeah gave me peace of mind my daddy never had

Oh Philadelphia freedom shine on me, I love you
Shine a light through the eyes of the ones left behind
Shine a light shine a light
Shine a light won’t you shine a light
Philadelphia freedom I love you, yes I do

If you choose to you can live your life alone
    Some people choose the city
Some others choose the good old family home
I like living easy without family ties
Till the whippoorwill of freedom zapped me
    Right between the eyes

Mid. I can see that I really need to take your musical education to hand.
You are quoteing lyrics from a guy who thinks songwriting is a correspondence course between him and his fat bald gay friend
Who gets all the credit !

Now If we are to play Musical Mornington Crescent

    I’ll go

    I’ve got a bike
you can ride it if you like
It’s got a basket, a bell that rings
And things to make it look good
I’d give it to you if I could
    But I borrowed it.
