Who Are We?The Samizdata people are a bunch of sinister and heavily armed globalist illuminati who seek to infect the entire world with the values of personal liberty and several property. Amongst our many crimes is a sense of humour and the intermittent use of British spelling. We are also a varied group made up of social individualists, classical liberals, whigs, libertarians, extropians, futurists, ‘Porcupines’, Karl Popper fetishists, recovering neo-conservatives, crazed Ayn Rand worshipers, over-caffeinated Virginia Postrel devotees, witty Frédéric Bastiat wannabes, cypherpunks, minarchists, kritarchists and wild-eyed anarcho-capitalists from Britain, North America, Australia and Europe. Hey, I bet they’re all Amish right? Bantu? Eskimos?
What, the same sad bunch of losers again? I guess the wet weather must have offended them.
ULULULULULULULBang!
I’d be more impressed if police announced they’d made some arrests without specifying why, and reported the charges when the charges were actually preferred.
10pm in a crowded resteraunt on a Friday night?! Everyone there had to give their name and address.
Does anyone know how many innocent persons had their evening ruined?
Maybe there’s a message here for terrorists?
Maybe there’s a message here for the general public!
Personally, I’ve never been very keen on the early dawn swoop on private houses of those to be arrested (except in extreme cases); however, I don’t see this new development as an improvement.
There may well be reasons for this particular action, but I sure would like it to be justified – and subjected to full public scrutiny.
Best regards
The Cabinet parhaps? We can but hope.
One phrase caught my eye from the news reports,
What the hell is a “Halal Chinese resaurant” ???
RAB, not just any Chinese halal restaurant but an all you can eat five quid buffet Chinese halal restaurant! Those Islamics and their cultural appropriation are too much!
Can i ask, why is it that when all the arrests were made a few weeks ago the government went to the head of the muslim community to advise of the arrests to prevent unrest, now if we were arresting 10 British caucasian males, would a visit of been paid to the archbishop of canterbury to advise him? Just a thought.
