Michael Totten has an interesting interview with a couple Israeli members of Peace Now. Although I think many of their views are wacky in ways only old socialists can be, they say many things I cannot imagine all too many CND members saying.

An interesting article, and particularly the comments afterward, in which so many Israelis called bullshit on the naive generalizations of the peaceniks.
While its understood that its a waste of money to spend Patriot missiles ($1 million each) to take out Katyushas ($10,000 each), I’m noticing that the THEL (Tactical High Energy Laser), which has been successfully tested against Katyushas, is operational (though likely kept in central Israel to defend against a possible Iranian nuke missile attack), I’m wondering when and if they are going to put this weapons system into production for nationwide defense against these border rocket attacks, for which it seems ideal.
With THEL, Israel really only needs to erect its wall all the way around the country, line it with THEL installations, and then just live in Fortress Israel, letting the Palestinians and Hezbollites rot.
