We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.
Samizdata, derived from Samizdat /n. - a system of clandestine publication of banned literature in the USSR [Russ.,= self-publishing house]

French Connection French anti-terror police have arrested five people suspected of links with the Real IRA. This is the splinter group of the IRA that is opposed to the peace process (such as it may be) and has been blamed for a series of attacks since breaking away from the IRA. The most serious was the 1998 Omagh bombing, which killed 29 people and was the worst single atrocity in 30 years of violence.
The suspects were all French nationals and they are suspected of involvement in a support network for the Irish group. They were held after police discovered a cache of weapons and ammunition outside the ferry port of Dieppe.

Who Are We? The Samizdata people are a bunch of sinister and heavily armed globalist illuminati who seek to infect the entire world with the values of personal liberty and several property. Amongst our many crimes is a sense of humour and the intermittent use of British spelling.
We are also a varied group made up of social individualists, classical liberals, whigs, libertarians, extropians, futurists, ‘Porcupines’, Karl Popper fetishists, recovering neo-conservatives, crazed Ayn Rand worshipers, over-caffeinated Virginia Postrel devotees, witty Frédéric Bastiat wannabes, cypherpunks, minarchists, kritarchists and wild-eyed anarcho-capitalists from Britain, North America, Australia and Europe.

No doubt they will be extradited to Northern Ireland, tried, convicted, sentenced, and released.
Same old same old.
Why should French authorities extradite those terrorists to the Islamic Kingdom ? Why should we play reciprocal while we’re still awaiting Rachid Ramda to be presented to the French justice? Why doesn’t Grit Britniyyah support the War on Terror when the victims are Frenchmen & Frenchwomen ? Why this comedy in Iraq while a Londonistan High Court have ruled that Rachid Ramda risked “inhuman treatment” if returned to France ???! ! !…
Thank you Small Britain for your understanding & your co-operation. We shall never forget.
Kodiak: Who says anything about France having to extradite them? Calm down, deep breath and try to make sense. I know a habit of a life-time is hard to break.
Kodiak always takes off his tinfoil hat around this phase of the moon, so he can receive orders from his controller on Planet Whacko.
The “terrorists” have been released 3 days later. They were Bretons, in charge of running the dance festival in Guingamp. Four of them were members of the twin-town committee between Guingamp and Shannon. At least one of them is a known Breton independentist. It is now clear that the french police had nothing against them.
A demonstration will take place in Guingamp next saturday (Nov 22) to denounce the way they have been arrested by the police. If the police wanted to see them, the correct procedure would have been to give them a convocation to the police station. The demonstration will also be an opportunity to denounce the way the french government has been keeping independentist Breton militants in jail for more than 4 years without any trial. (A trial should take place next year (we don’t know yet what for) before a “tribunal d’exception” (it means no popular jury –only magistrates hand picked by Paris).
La france est une démocratie à la turque !
If I considere all I read in this forum : We (French) couldn’t have put them under arrest, but we must have given them some medals : they killed Rosbifs (Pommes if you prefer, as call them Australians and NZelanders… lol)
To be more serious, yes, french police does its job… even if it is to the advantage of England ! It seems we are far more fair than UK : Blair protects for months some islamic bombers which killed many civilian people in parisian metro….
