We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous... lets see what is on the mind of the Samizdata people.
Samizdata, derived from Samizdat /n. - a system of clandestine publication of banned literature in the USSR [Russ.,= self-publishing house]

Our friends, the German State That the Russians should be such buffoons by backing Ba’athist Iraq long after it became clear they were going to suffer the full weight of an Anglo-American attack is remarkable. That the Germans should have done so is nothing less than astonishing.
Just as in the Falklands War, when Britain’s ‘ally’ France did not withdraw military assistance from Argentina until it no longer actually mattered, we have seen the European Union’s two most influential nations, France and now Germany, actively collaborating with national socialist enemies of Britain overseas.
Tony Blair has just lead Britain into a spectacularly successful war, but at a cost in British blood and treasure. Will even this revelation get Tony Blair to finally see the €uro-fedarists for what they are? Are these really the people he wants to bind the future of Britain to?
Wake up!!!

Who Are We? The Samizdata people are a bunch of sinister and heavily armed globalist illuminati who seek to infect the entire world with the values of personal liberty and several property. Amongst our many crimes is a sense of humour and the intermittent use of British spelling.
We are also a varied group made up of social individualists, classical liberals, whigs, libertarians, extropians, futurists, ‘Porcupines’, Karl Popper fetishists, recovering neo-conservatives, crazed Ayn Rand worshipers, over-caffeinated Virginia Postrel devotees, witty Frédéric Bastiat wannabes, cypherpunks, minarchists, kritarchists and wild-eyed anarcho-capitalists from Britain, North America, Australia and Europe.

Blair is fully awake I assure you. Remember that the man IS a socialist, and so strapping Britain to the yoke of Brussels is a priority for this man.
Lots of folks including our President over here in the States are going all goopy over Blair. I am not and never have because I know that all in all, he is a great danger to Britain.
Unless you quickly find another Margaret Thatcher, I can see no hope for you… As we all know, Blair IS a leftist, and the EU is the socialist’s wet dream come true.
PS Is it only my perception (from Czechia, loong way from London) that the conservatives haven’t found a true leader yet?
Am I the only one or are others waiting for the French to accompany Russia and Germany? Once again, we see the true reason (among other) why Russia and Germany opposed the war.
We (Sweden) too, are on our way into digging deeper into the EU swamp. Vital information on where the EU is heading with the EUro and Euro Presidents and all is, however, witheld from the majority of Sweden’s 9 million inhabitants. That’s one of the most important weapons a socialist government has; control of the press and what’s supposed to be said or not. Because really, there are no (no) newspaper here who can pick a serious fight. All Samizdata bloggers in Britain, I know how you feel. My empathy.
We need to be a little bit steely about remembering who said what when, and bringing it up when they snivel that they are our bestest, loveliest friends again.
What’s most amazing to me (other than the continuing appeal of socialism) is how the Weasels now, when queried about these little transgressions, are saying “What?” in that particularly annoying teenage tone.
I do have one news flash for them. They have well and truly pissed-off middle America. I’m 48, and I’ve never seen anything like it.
DSmith has hit the proverbial nail on the head. It is no longer just certain people of certain political persuasions in government that les weasels have pissed off over here; this time it’s the average middle class American taxpayer and voter also. This has been a huge clusterfuck of a miscalculation by les weseals. I’m also in my forties and I have seen nothing like it either, and I don’t believe it’s going to go away.
