My own webhost, http://www.doteasy.com is surprisingly reliable. They’re Canadian (Vancouver), and they offer a number of hosting packages depending on what you need.
The one I use gives me 20 Mbytes free without any banner ads – I just have to agree to accept one spam e-mail a day. Since I get around 200 spam e-mails a day across my several e-mail accounts, this is hardly a big price to pay!
