Wisdom from Springfield Watching an episode of the Simpson’s last night was great fun, even though it was a repeat. The womenfolk of Springfield are up in arms after a drunken St. Patrick’s Day, and demand a ban on booze. They confront the hapless Mayor, and demand to know why he defends liberal drinking laws:
“Well, it tastes great; makes women look more attractive and makes men invulnerable to criticism.”
Magnificent.
